At least five people were killed in clashes between the police and demonstrators, who have denounced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for inviting India’s leadBaer.

DHAKA, Bangladesh — At least four people were killed and dozens injured in violent protests in Bangladesh on Friday, set off by the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India to mark 50 years since Bangladesh gained independence.

The deaths occurred in the southeastern district of Chattogram, where students from a prominent Islamic school and members of an Islamist group clashed with the police, officials said.

Facebook also said it had serious concerns about the manner in which it was being restricted in Bangladesh at a time when effective communication was necessary to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

It is a group of people who are in charge of the protests in Bangladesh. The Awami League (Political Party) government alleges that Hefazat is front for jamaat e Islami (Political Party) and seeks to derail the International tribunals for the war crimes committed in 1971, by Hefazat denies any role with Jamaat e Islami, and alleges that is a libel to subjugate Islamists in public life.

Why Modi Went To Bangladesh?
Modi went to Bangladesh to attend its Golden Jubilee celebrations of independence and birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the country's founder and father of current PM Sheikh Hasina.
