Leaked Cases of China Around 600,000

Beijing claims that since the Coronavirus pandemic began at the end of last year, there have been only 82,919 confirmed cases and 4,633 deaths in mainland China. The cases of China boost to around 1800 to 14108 on Feb 12 but on Feb 13 it was around 5000 isn't it prodigious.
But Chinese Military's official claimed to have around 640,000 cases and Chinese praised that man for keeping the record. It is said that it had been spread to around 230 cities. So why China had been hiding those figures? And why is it important for the World to know these figures? That's what we will cover.

National University of Defense Technology.

A dataset of Coronavirus cases and deaths from the Military's National University of Defense Technology offers insight into how Beijing has gathered coronavirus data on its population.
The dataset, though it contains inconsistencies--and though it may it may not be comprehensive enough to contradict Beijing's official numbers is the most expensive dataset proved to exist about coronavirus cases in China.

Is This Data Reliable?

This is reliable as this is taken by Chinese Military and the undertaking of it is under Chinese officials. The Chinese military were very active to Quarantine people because they know that Coronavirus had been spread to China. That's the reason of Mask deal between China and Italy. And that is the reason I believe this data is relevant.

Zhang Haisu

In a May press release, the university credits Zhang for building the "Fight the virus to return to work Database", and praises his dedication. A note on the data tracker's website reads.
He said " Currently our country is taking forceful measures, and the epidemic situation is being strictly managed and controlled. Please correctly understand that to use the relevant data."
  • This data is restricted for America.
  • Even the public version of the National University of Defense Technology dataset sporadically restricts American IP addresses.

Why does Beijing restricts access to its Coronavirus data?

Possibly because of malice of mistrust towards the United States.
Possibly because Beijing fears that outside researchers will learn of its extensive cover-up, destroying the narrative that an authoritarian nation like China is better equipped to protect its people against a pandemic.
