Chemist Shop Products to Avoid. (2)

How often we go to a chemist shop to quickly fix a problem. After thoroughly researching I have selected four most common products that need your attention. I am highly impressed by some of these while others are not worth your hard earned money.

Moov

Moov is almost synonymous with pain relief in India. But is it worth the tag? Let's check the Ingredients.

25% of its ingredients are herbal and taken from Bhavprakash. While the other 75% gives texture to the cream are hidden, they can be synthetic or maybe toxic. I mean if they are safe why hide them? So why take a risk if we can apply 100% natural product to get an instant relief. In the same chemist shop Himalaya Pain Relief Oil is a safe pick. Very clearly they have mentioned the complete ingredients. Also Ayurveda Maha Narayan Oil is a safe pick too. You can select any from them.

Boro Plus

Got a minor cutting while cutting vegetables? Injured yourself while playing? Boro Plus is a popular choice isn't it.  But is it really ayurvedic and herbal as mentioned in its front label? Let's check the ingredients. Yes it has some of the herbal ingredients but half of the ingredients information is missing under Ointment vehicle which was a base which is used to give it a creamy texture. Why would you apply a cream that hides its 50% ingredients while you have a 100% natural option available. No I'm not talking about Boroline. You can choose Aloevera gel or Neem oil to cure your cuts. A good choice would be Jatyadi Oil which can be used on cuts, wounds, rashes and external use too.

Benadryl.

In case of a cough, cold or sore throat we often get our hands on Benadryl as it is effective. But if something works does it mean it is safe? What makes it effective is its Alcohol content along with it, it has salt for faster action. But there is another product in the same chemist shop which is as effective as Benadryl with no alcoholic content. It is Himalaya Koflet. Surprisingly Himalaya has done a great  job by preparing it with Ayurvedic knowledge. Hamdard Joshina is an another great option over Benadryl. So next time try these over Alcoholic drinks and get well soon.

Eno

A popular remedy for acidity well known for its six seconds Burp challenge. But is this challenge worth a pick or skip let's find out. Well let me clear this regular version is always a better option over flavoured versions.

Regular version of Eno once in a while just for a quick fix is okay. Making it a habit will increase the acidity. Its like a chain reaction. Ayurveda recommends a cup of cool milk or sweet buttermilk
