Chemist Shop Products To Avoid.

More than often we go the Chemist shop without the prescription of Doctor hoping to solve an immediate health problem. However not all the products deserve your hard earned money. Here I mentioned 4 products that are most common and bought blindly. I have provided the alternative also of the products which are not beneficial. But do these products indeed provide us the health benefit or not let us find out.

Revital H

Well it is a non vegetarian product. The outershell of the capsule is made up of Gelatin. So it is not recommended to Vegetarian people like me.

Ingredients.

Peanut oil, Minerals(Source is missing), Chemical Fillers, Vitamins(Source is missing), Hydrogenated Veg Oil, Synthetic Colors. Don't get impressed with its nutritional information.

With these ingredients you can not get any health benefits. Even Maggie is a better option than Revital H.

These companies hire a famous celebrity and promote their product. I don't like why these celebrities promote their product. Also people blindly follow these celebrities. So what is the alternative?

Well all the seasonal fruits consumed by you and taking a balanced diet is the alternative.

Safi

Hamdard Safi is another popular product at the Chemist shop claim to purify the blood naturally. Most people use it to reduce pimples and get glowing skin.

Ingredients mentioned are of Unani Medicine which are 100% natural. Also the ingredients comprises of cooling herbs like Gulab and Sheesham. However Safi is a promoter of blood purification not an one step solution. If your diet includes spicy food, alcohol, drugs then it'll not be beneficial for you.

Glucon-D

Manufactured by Heinz(American Company) it is the most popular and widely consumed product in the Indian market. Needless to say, I don't recommend you to consume flavoured products of Glucon-D.

The Regular versioned of Glucon-D is made up of 99.4% Glucose along with Calcium Phosphate and minerals in it. Basically it is Glucose which is simple sugar which provides energy. Well the company recommends 2 servings per day that means almost 8 table spoons per day. But do we need it. The answer is no. Because eating three meals in a day we get enough of glucose. If we consume Glucon-D over it, it can increase body fat of our body.

Overall it is a good product but should be consumed only if you may feel sudden energy loss, Sun stroke, After puking or sudden breakdown.

Strepsils.

When we are down with sore throat, cough, cold we look for an instance relief from that uncomfortable feeling. Most of us consume Strepsils which is easily available at the Chemist Shop. The ingredients mentioned are petroleum products whose side effects are dangerous. Even Vicks has artificial ingredients. So what is the alternative?

The Alternative which is available at the Chemist shop is Hamdard Sualin.

Prepared from herbs like mulethi, tulsi and dal cheeni it is a more better option. So next time when you are down with cold or cough consider Sualin over Vicks and Strepsils.
